No matter what your website is about – the one important thing is to have a good and reliable host at a reasonable cost!

Putting this down to experience … finding a good host can be an absolute nightmare, I have been with more web hosting companies than I have cooked hot dinners! In the past 3 months (it’s November 2010 as I write this) I have had a few domains hosted with an excellent small company which offer above brilliant support, they are in my timezone (based in the UK), they know what their doing (I’ve come across dozens that don’t!) and it is the cheapest one I’ve been with out of all of them!

I am usually suspicious about low cost hosting because you usually get what you pay for, however – there is one company out there … UK Cheap Host …

They specialise in WordPress hosting powered by a Cpanel backend – prefer Plesk myself, but will work with pretty much anything I have to! Plans for hosting start from $12 per year, yes really … only $12 a year, $1 a month!

With the same staff there working, they will know of any issues you have had before (if you’ve had any!) – they will know you as a person, not just a domain name! And most importantly, they will help you out there on the spot – and all your questions, help, issues or problems resolved. Just a pity that there are not more web hosting companies out there like UK Cheap Host!
